When you think of a "Winter Social", images come to mind of lovely ladies, handsome men, fancy cars, couple's dancing.  Christmas carolers, and lots of food.  That is exactly the scene on December 7th, 2006 at the Dalton Trade Center as individuals, families, home providers, staff, and community members celebrated the season.

Tony Burress, who won a free limousine ride from the Carpet Capital Limousine service during one of his volunteer efforts invited his friends to join him in the drive to the Winter Social.  Cameras were flashing as the group exited the limousine, creating a celebrity-like atmosphere.  Once inside, they joined other lovely ladies and handsome men who were circling the dance floor to music presented by our D.J. for the night, Chase O'Neal.

The Cross Plains All Stars, (Tony Burress, Ricky Dwight, Jimmy Crisp, Rob Cannon, Billy Morrison, Adam Horner, Janice Langford, Sean Sneary, Eddie Scott, and Jennifer Elswick), under the direction of Ms. Laura Strange, Music Instructor, presented a program of traditional holiday music.  with a view of the mounts, a back drop of brightly decorated trees, music in the air, and good food and friends, the "Winter Social" could also be described as...
