Dalton
Parks and
Recreation...
The Dalton Parks and Recreation Department has supported workers from
Cross Plains Community Partner for several years. Traveling to eight different recreation sites throughout our
community, these workers help maintain the beauty of area parks.
While the benefits of this partnership are evident when you attend
one of these parks, so too are the benefits to Cross Plains workers when
they receive their weekly paychecks. A feeling of accomplishment goes with
those paychecks, and inspires in them an eagerness to return to work on
Monday.

Hamilton Medical Center...
Maintaining employment
with one employer for 22 years takes a lot of dedication and hard work.
Larry Hill exemplifies both of these qualities, and more. Larry’s
employment as a dishwasher in the cafeteria at Hamilton Medical Center has
provided him with the means to purchase his own home in Dalton, and has
also given him the opportunity to form lasting friendships with his
co-workers and other members of the community.

Shaw Industries
Volunteers at Cross Plains...
Over the summer, Cross
Plains was privileged to be the recipients of volunteer efforts from Shaw
Industries. From visiting
with individuals at the center and playing games, to washing all the
agency vans, to hosting a cookout (which ended up as a “cook-in”, due
to the weather), Shaw employees gave their time and talents to the
individuals receiving services at Cross Plains.
Our heartfelt “Thanks” goes out to Shaw Industries and all Shaw
employees who helped make this summer a memorable one.
