Patricia Hardson began her career at Cross Plains Community Partner Community Partner as an instructor with school-age children in 1975. She then went onto work with pre-school children and later moved to the Outreach Program, where she worked with families who needed parental sup-port, and with homebound children. After the Outreach Program was discontinued, Patricia returned to working in the center, and was promoted to her current position of Team Leader in the Day Habilitation/Day Supports Program. Patricia said she has seen many changes in the program over the years. Individuals are now exercising their right to work, to have friends, and to participate in their community and assume leadership roles. When asked how she feels about the changes that have taken place since 1975,Patricia stated, “I feel good that I was part of the change in the program, as well as in people’s lives”.
