Cross
Plains Community Partner awarded a 4-year Accreditation.....
On May 12, 2006 CPCP was awarded a
4-year accreditation from The
Council on Quality and leadership (CQL).
CQL is a recognized leader for quality of
life for people with disabilities.
CQL measures and evaluates both personal and
community quality of life, and requires demonstration of
successful operation in assurances for health, safety and
welfare.
Although CPCP had previously been accredited by CQL
this was the first time CPCP had experienced a review using
CQL’s new process.
There are only 7 other organizations that have been
evaluated using the revised process, of which only three
were awarded immediate accreditation, and CPCP is the first
in Georgia!
This is considered a 4- year
accreditation partnership with CQL.
CPCP is excited about a partnership that will assist and
challenge them to be even more effective in the pursuit of
community presence, leadership, and personal quality of
life.
Congratulations to all the staff and
individuals served for this great achievement and for the
hard work that that went into preparing for this review.
A special thanks is given to those community partners
and families that participated in some of the accreditation
focus groups and meetings.
